60th Bradford North, Thornton Scout Group

60th Bradford North, Thornton Scout Group are based at Thornton Primary School, in the western suburbs of the City of Bradford, England. We fall under the district of Bradford North, and the County of West Yorkshire.

We presently have 3 active sections (Cubs, Scouts and Explorers) running from our HQ, covering an age range of  8 through 18 years. We’re planning on re-opening our Beaver Section in September 2012 – please register at the link above for further details!

As with all Scout Groups we are a voluntary organisation, meaning that all our adult support volunteer their time towards the running of the group, activities and events. As a registered charity we also heavily rely on donations and fundraising to continue supporting our Youth Members and to purchase/maintain our equipment and Scout Hut.

This site has just been launched in April 2012, and as such the content and images are getting updated over the next couple of months . Please bare with us whilst we continue this update.

If you would like to join, or require further infomation about our Scout Group please email Steve Preston ste_preston@hotmail.com

Cubs and Beavers also share an annual weekend and day camp as standard. Members of our group have traveled all over the world on camps, including Australia, New Zealand, France, Ireland, The Netherlands, not to mention many more here in the UK.

Based in Thornton, Bradford

Located in Thornton, our group is part of the Bradford North District. We will however welcome anyone in the area willing to travel. We presently have members travelling to 60th from Clayton, Allerton, Denholme and Queensbury.
